Jay Millar is an everyday man with an extraordinary mission: to help men become the heroes of their own homes.
Growing up with challenges shaped by domestic violence and alcoholism, Jay defied the odds to carve out an unconventional path to success. He served proudly in the U.S. Army on a nuclear warhead team, went on to become a first-generation college graduate in Physics, and later earned his MBA.
But for Jay, true success isn’t found in titles or degrees—it’s in building loving, connected relationships with his wife, his sons, and their families.
As the founder of My Virtual Dad and Confident Man Enterprises LLC, Jay shares practical tools, encouragement, and real-life lessons with men who want to lead with confidence at home. His writing and teaching combine wit, determination, and hard-earned wisdom, offering a clear path for men who feel they didn’t get a “playbook” for family life.
When he’s not writing or mentoring, you’ll find Jay exploring new places with his wife and their faithful dog, Baxter, in their travel van—always learning, always growing, and always eager to pass on what he’s discovered.
